During our roadtrip across the country, we tuned in to several podcasts, one of which described the festivities surrounding the World Beard & Moustache Championships and the Beard Team USA Nationals.

I had no idea that growing beards and mustaches could be a competition, much less that there could be a national team for such an event, but it seems to be an activity that generates a small gathering of facial hair enthusiasts!  You can learn more about the event by visiting their website.
