Week in Review: 9/2-9/9

A brief review of highlights from the past week:

• Latin American-themed date night (Cuban sandwiches, black beans with cream, tostones, and The Motorcycle Diaries)
• Wished my dad a happy birthday
• Free movie and popcorn on Friday night at the Student Commons
• Found a coffee shop we really like (www.ellwoodscoffee.com)
• Visited Virginia Beach on a Saturday daytrip and found that Penny loves the beach (and that it's a good spot to get reading done)
• Enjoyed listening to John Lithgow read various poetry selections and "The Monkey's Paw" during the drive back from Virginia Beach
• Enjoyed worship on Sunday at West End Presbyterian Church and East End Fellowship
• Accomplished a hefty amount of reading in organizational theory
• Rewarded with free chicken sandwiches from Chick-Fil-A simply for wearing sports team apparel
• Blessed with a taste of the coming fall season with some beautiful weather over the past several days
