Hello October

I realize I am not alone in this opinion, but my favorite month is October. I have nothing against other months...June for me is a close second, but I am always very happy to see October arrive each year. I love the change of weather (autumn is my favorite season too), I love the change of colors (and get a little more time with them now that I'm further north), I love the traveling birds, I love the cool evenings and crisp mornings, I love the foods (apple everything, candy corn, pumpkin soup), I love playoff baseball (even without the Pirates), I love college and high school football, I love the start of the basketball season, I love marching bands, I love camping, I love documentaries about the national parks, I love pulling out jackets, I love telling tall tales around a bonfire...I think you get the idea. So, with that said, I would like to say hello October.
