Hold On to Your Eggos

For all of those fans of waffles out there (not the fancy Belgian-style waffles, but the quick-and-easy microwave or toaster oven waffles), be warned if you're loyal to the Kellogg's Eggo brand: there's a shortage expected to last until next summer. This sudden scarcity apparently has shoppers in a panic over limited supplies at their local grocery stores, causing them to take the news to Facebook and Twitter. For more information, check out: http://www.usatoday.com/money/industries/food/2009-11-18-eggo-shortage_N.htm

While we're talking about shortages, I've also discovered there's a shortage on pumpkin puree (what you normally use to make pumpkin pie) due to the heavy rains experienced by pumpkin farmers this year. Be thankful for that pumpkin pie this year...it may be harder to come by next year!
