Fair Foods

  
As we approach the end of summer and the beginning of autumn, states and counties across the country are celebrating the annual fair season, and that means livestock shows, carnival rides, assorted competitions, entertainment shows, and fair food!
The State Fair of Texas in particular is famous for its annual introduction of new and creative food items to eat fried.  Last year's winner was fried butter, and within the year, the strange food is popping up at fairs across the country.  Another unthinkable item that is growing in popularity is the doughnut burger, which is essentially a bacon cheeseburger that uses Krispy Kreme doughnuts for a hamburger bun.  To read more about this year's fair food trends, click here.  Anyone interested in chocolate-covered bacon?  I'll pass...
