Daily Bread

"...Whatever hunger we feel today is really at root a hunger for Jesus and the satisfaction that Jesus brings. ... In our lives we have all these messages of 'Obey this, obey that, obey your thirst, obey your passions,' but fundamentally what's behind all of those messages is that we were created to obey our God. We have all these hungers, and our primary hunger is a hunger to know and be in a relationship with a God who made us, who loves us. ... You're hungry again this week, and so am I. We're constantly misdirecting and misplacing that hunger. Friends, the message is that you and I need daily bread because we're hungry every day."
